Workshop for Parents – Social Media & AI

AGSEV is pleased to propose a critical awareness workshop on the combined risks posed by Artificial Intelligence and social media to our children . The workshops will be held online on TEAMS in English, they will not be recorded and held only live, see the two options below.

AGSEV has partnered with Mr. Gonin, a specialist in information technologies, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, who has already been delivering sessions across various age groups at our school. These sessions explore how tech companies leverage AI to influence behaviour, as well as the potential negative impacts on student well-being. Students have been encouraged to reflect on their digital habits, online privacy, AI bias, and the spread of fake news.

Building on this work, Mr. Gonin is now offering two exclusive online talks for parents —one tailored for parents of younger teenagers (P5 & S1–S4) and another one for parents of older teenagers (S5–S7).

Mr. Gonin combines theoretical insight with a practical, hands-on approach, guiding parents on how to support their children in navigating the challenges of unrestricted use and the often deceptive effects of AI-powered social media. The sessions will also help parents understand how AI can be used responsibly and ethically.

Given the rapidly evolving digital landscape, this promises to be an essential and highly practical session for all parents.
