Nursery and Primary Cycles

The European School of Varese offers a nurturing and multicultural environment from an early age. The nursery cycle (Materna) welcomes children from the age of 4 and spans two years, focusing on social, emotional, and early language development through play and exploration. At age 6, children enter the primary cycle, which runs from P1 to P5, building foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and cultural awareness.

Educated in contact with one another, free from divisive prejudices from an early age, children are introduced to the beauty and values of different cultures. They grow with a strong sense of shared identity—spiritually European—while nurturing love and pride for their own homeland.

Secondary Cycle

The Secondary School at the European School of Varese spans from S1 to S7 and includes both middle school and high school education. The first three years (S1–S3) form the middle school cycle, focusing on broad academic development and multilingual learning. This is followed by two distinct two-year periods in high school.

The pre-orientation cycle (S4–S5) ends with a set of harmonized exams across all European Schools. The final orientation cycle (S6–S7) prepares students for the European Baccalaureate (BAC)—a standardized diploma recognized across the EU, reflecting the values of academic excellence and European cooperation.
