Extracurricular Activities
At AGSEV, we organize a variety of extracurricular activities for students of all age groups: Materna, Primary, and Secondary cycles. These activities take place on school grounds and are designed to enrich students’ learning and personal development in a fun, engaging environment. Registration and purchase for courses opens a few days before the beginning of the school year to allow time for coordination.
Active AGSEV membership is required for participation.
Course Timing
Activities usually take place in the afternoons on short school days, immediately after lessons, during the lunch break, or in the study periods for secondary school students.
On short days, we coordinate with mensa (canteen) and bus services to ensure students can participate conveniently.

Music Lessons
The Parents’ Association of the European School of Varese (AGSEV) offers music lessons for students of all ages who wish to explore a musical instrument or develop their singing voice. Lessons are held on school grounds and scheduled to fit around the regular class timetable – usually during lunch breaks, after school, or during study periods.
To sign up, students must be members of the Parents’ Association (AGSEV).
To enroll your child, simply contact the teacher directly to arrange a suitable date and time.
New students are often offered a free trial lesson to get started. Once you’ve agreed on the details, the teacher will share a payment link with you. The prices listed apply to 30 lessons.
If you’re interested in special arrangements—such as paired lessons for two students—just speak with the teacher, and we’ll be happy to accommodate your needs.

At Club House in Ispra
The Club Europeo di Ispra was founded in the early 1960s alongside the creation of the Euratom research centre, now known as the Joint Research Centre (JRC). It began as a community initiative by the spouses of the first Commission employees, who came together to foster integration and social connection.
Today, the Club counts around 700 members from various nationalities, connected to the JRC, the European School of Varese, and the local community. It continues to promote socialization and cultural exchange through a broad range of recreational and educational activities.
To participate in any course or event, you must be a registered member. The Club offers kids activities in sports, coding, languages, and more. Check here.
