School Newsletters
Primary School Newsletters are called European Hours Journals, and are on the main menu of Primary.
Secondary School Newsletters are on the main menu of Secondary. We even have a school sustainability newsletter available at Greener Green on the main European School menu.
School Values & Wellbeing
Our European Schools were founded as part of the post WWII peace process. As such we were created to enable different nationalities and cultures to be educated, side by side.
Our Primary School has developed the Golden Rules which help guide our children as they grow and learn. In Middle School and Secondary, they have the opportunity to mature into well-rounded, European citizens.
Pedagogical Approach and Learning Support
The European Schools offer the European Baccalaureate award – which is based on a competencies approach to learning.
Our system has a profound engagement with language learning, together with an emphasis on science and maths.
Our communities are living the process of integration, facing challenges with a growth mindset and working together as education stakeholders to build resilience, flexibility and a more sustainable future together.
Parenting Support
Throughout the year, AGSEV offers parent training sessions on key topics like AI, the impact of technology use on children, and more.
Stay informed, share your experiences with other parents, and check our news regularly to see upcoming events and workshops!
Vibrant Community groups
Want to get more involved?
There are plenty of vibrant groups you can explore! Check out the ‘Friends of ESV’ on Facebook for updates and community happenings. You might also enjoy the Benvenuto Club, a great place to meet new people, and the Benvenuto Players, who bring holiday cheer with their annual English-language Christmas Pantomime.
Located in Ispra, the JRC Clubhouse was originally established for JRC staff and friends—but many of its activities, events, and mailing lists are open to all ESV families, creating even more opportunities to connect and participate.
