Care famiglie,

la scuola è iniziata, probabilmente eravamo tutti un po’ scettici vedendo la situazione dei contagi alla fine delle vacanze ed in tanti abbiamo pensato quanto tempo sarebbe passato prima di una quarantena. Ma questo per fortuna non è ancora successo.

COVID

Abbiamo trascorso l’estate ad analizzare Decreti ministeriali che si susseguivano per far fronte alla situazione epidemiologica. Il gruppo tecnico della Scuola ha reagito in maniera efficace e siamo soddisfatti per l’efficienza dimostrata.

Il primo giorno di Scuola è stato molto intenso, posso garantirvi che vedere i bambini/ragazzi in arrivo dai bus e sul piazzale e vederli salutarsi, dopo mesi a casa, è stato emozionante.

Da qui, direi che sono iniziate le prime riflessioni.

Pensare che i ragazzi potessero gestirsi in autonomia è stato ottimistico, i ragazzi già solo per natura tentano di stare vicino ed è indispensabile uno sforzo supplementare per poter far fronte in maniera efficace a questa situazione.

Durante il cda della Scuola abbiamo approvato il reclutamento di 9 assistenti per contribuire, insieme agli insegnanti, ad una sorveglianza più estesa.

Tuttavia, a nulla possono valere queste azioni, come ad esempio il controllo della temperatura sui Bus e la sanificazione delle mani, se non continuiamo con questo comportamento anche nella vita privata. Dobbiamo fare passare il messaggio ai ragazzi che la vita è cambiata, non sappiamo per quanto e con quali modalità, ma senz’altro il modo di stare insieme è cambiato.

So che, come famiglie, stiamo facendo tutti del nostro meglio, ma permettetemi di restare su questo tema.

Credo che, in questo periodo così difficile, una convergenza nei comportamenti sia essenziale, ed il rispetto delle regole credo sia un concreto contributo al rispetto reciproco.

D’altronde la statistica parla chiaro, il rischio era ed è tuttora molto alto.

Dobbiamo affrontare questa situazione con consapevolezza.

Rimane il fatto che Il Covid non è tutto, ci sono tematiche che continuano e che come Agsev stiamo portando avanti.

La situazione del traffico, ormai da anni in discussione con il Comune di Varese, mai come quest’anno si fa sentire. La possibilità di molti genitori di poter continuare a lavorare da casa permette di avere del tempo libero per venire a prendere e portare i figli a Scuola. È un’opportunità per il benessere familiare ma l’incremento delle autovetture sta creando ritardi molto importanti ai Bus. Non possiamo più permettere che un Bus possa lasciare gli ultimi utenti dopo 1h e 30 min dall’uscita della Scuola. L’intervento della Polizia Locale è stato richiesto più volte ed interverranno.

Tuttavia, permettetemi di invitarvi, come già fatto dalla Scuola in diverse occasioni, ad utilizzare i parcheggi limitrofi ed ad osservare i sensi di circolazione secondo la segnaletica.

Consultate per favore il nostro sito, contattateci per ogni dubbio/problema possiate avere perché il problema di una persona, oltre a costituire un caso specifico, può essere comunque occasione per un’analisi condivisa nell’interesse di molti.

Vorrei invitarvi ad iscrivervi ad Agsev, l’unione è tutto e ci aiuta ad avere una visione più chiara della situazione dei genitori rispetto alle tematiche scolastiche.

Credo di poter sottolineare che il coordinamento a Varese tra genitori, scuola, siti della Commissione laddove presenti, sia particolarmente vitale, in un contesto che risulta costantemente di grande collaborazione.

I margini di miglioramento sono, come sempre, molto ampi e solo con un lavoro continuo, minuzioso e responsabile possiamo raggiungere i risultati che ci attendiamo.

D’altronde, non credo che ci sia motivazione più grande che lavorare per i nostri figli ed il loro benessere.

Questo sarà quello che faremo come Agsev, questo sarà quello che faremo per i nostri ragazzi.

A Letter from the President

 

Dear families,

Welcome back. When school started, we were probably all a bit skeptical about it, seeing the numbers of Covid infections at the end of the holidays and many of us were thinking that it wouldn’t be long before we would all be back in quarantine. But that hasn’t happened yet.

COVID

The PA spent the summer analysing successive ministerial decrees to deal with the epidemiological situation. The school’s technical team reacted effectively and we are satisfied with the efficiency shown.

The first day of school was very intense for us all. Seeing all the children arriving from their buses at the school piazza and seeing others saying goodbye to their parents who were dropping them off after months of being at home, was very emotional.

From this high point, the first considerations have begun.

To think that the children could manage with the new restrictions on their own was optimistic. By nature, humans and especially children need close contact with each other and an extra effort is needed in order to be able to cope effectively with social distancing.

During the School Board meeting, we approved the recruitment of 9 new assistants to support the teachers and enable a more extensive supervision and protection of the children in learning to follow the new rules.

But all our best efforts – such as the new system of taking temperatures and hand sanitizing before getting on the buses – are worthless if we don’t also continue to be careful in our private lives. We need to get the message across to the children that life has changed. We still don’t know to what extent these changes will continue to affect us, but certainly the way we behave when we’re together has changed.

I know that, as families, we’re all doing our best, but I’d like to say just a few more words.

I believe that in these difficult times, it’s essential that we all come together as a community, with mutual respect and respect for the rules laid down to keep us all safe.

The statistics are clear that the risk was, and still is, very high. We must face this situation together with awareness.

Other issues

However, the pandemic, though of vital importance, is not everything. There are ongoing issues which your parents association is moving forward.

The traffic situation, which has been under discussion with the Municipality of Varese for years now, is still very much under discussion now. The possibility for many parents to continue working from home allows them the flexibility pick up and drop off their children at school. It is an opportunity to increase the well being of families, but the increasing numbers of cars is creating serious delays and difficulties for the buses. We can no longer allow a bus to drop off the last children an hour and a half after leaving school. The intervention of the local police has been requested several times and they will continue to enforce rules set down for everyone’s safety when they are not respected.

Please allow me to invite you, as the School has already done on several occasions, to use the neighbouring parking areas and to observe the traffic directions according to the signs.

Please consult our website, or contact your representatives in person with any doubts or problems you may have. One person’s problem, in addition to having its own importance, can also be an opportunity for a shared analysis which will benefit the community as a whole.

I would like to invite you to enrol in Agsev. In unity, we stand together and together we can understand the situation of parents more fully in relation to the school. But if you’re not sure, there are loads of good reasons to join.

I want to underline that the partnership in Varese between the parents, the School, and the Commission centre in ISPRA is particularly warm, vital and constantly evolving.

There’s always loads of room for improvement, and only with continuous, meticulous and responsible work can we achieve the results we expect.

But I don’t think there’s any greater motivation than in working for our children and their well-being.

This is what we do as AGSEV, this is what we will continue to do for our children.
